Robert Tiukinhoy

Background and Experience at AIMS

Prior to joining the Neurodiagnostic Technologist (NDT) program at AIMS Education, Robert was in the United States Marine Corps for eight years. After leaving the military, he decided that he wanted to help people as a profession. That led him to choosing a career in the healthcare field.

NDT program director, Dr. Shekhar Narechania, described Robert as a dedicated and hard-working student throughout his time at AIMS. He was highly intelligent and demonstrated good teamwork skills. All of these attributes served him well during the clinical internship rotation. He worked well with his coworkers and patients, and was always open to improving himself. Ron Abel, the NDT clinical coordinator, believes Robert is on his way to becoming a fantastic technologist.

Success after Graduation

Shortly after graduating from the NDT program at AIMS, Robert was hired full time as an EEG technologist. His next step is to take the EEG Technologist certification exam offered by ABRET. In addition to becoming a registered EEG technologist, his goals for the future include getting certified in Neurophysiologic Intraoperative Monitoring (CNIM) and Long Term Monitoring (CLTM), as well as furthering his education in healthcare.
