AIMS Students Visit EEG Department at Robert Wood Johnson
Dr. Shekhar, program director for the Electroneurodiagnostic Technologist (END) program at AIMS, recently took his END students to Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick to visit the EEG Department. The visit included a tour of the physician’s reading room, the pediatric and adult inpatient departments, and the outpatient departments.
During the visit, Dr. Shekhar’s students had the opportunity to speak with attending physicians from the department, as well as Somaria Persaud, the lead clinical educator for EEG. The students enjoyed the site visit and found it to be a very rewarding experience. Dr. Shekhar believes this initial exposure to the clinical aspect of neurodiagnostic technology will help prepare students for their upcoming clinical internships.
