ARMRIT Reaccreditation for MRI Program

"Because MRI is a Specialty"

AIMS Education is pleased to announce that the MRI Technologist program was recently awarded a five-year reaccreditation from the American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists (ARMRIT), the only recognized certifying body that focuses solely on the MRI specialty.

In order to qualify for reaccreditation, the MRI program had to undergo an extensive review and meet rigorous standards set by ARMRIT. The ARMRIT accreditation demonstrates that the MRI program at AIMS maintains the highest standards and quality of education available in the MRI field.

The American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists (ARMRIT) is a professional certifying organization founded in 1991. When MRI first became available in 1983, there were limited options for MRI technologists to become certified in the field. ARMRIT was originally founded to provide professional certification to the MRI technologists who had received on-the-job training throughout the 1980s.

ARMRIT became the first MRI certifying body that required specialized training for MRI. This includes education, in-depth clinical training, and hands-on experience. As an international certifying body, ARMRIT only certifies MRI technologists who have met its strict standards and requirements. Since 1991 ARMRIT has certified thousands of technologists throughout the United States, Puerto Rico, Guam, Canada, Britain, Asia and the Middle East.
